Theatre and Dance
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre degree is intended to prepare students for a professional career in musical theatre and beyond. This degree provides students with rigorous specialized training in acting, dance, and voice with classes in their disciplines every semester. Students are also provided with other artistic endeavors to build their own experience and have the opportunity to work outside of the musical theatre degree to help them become multi-faceted and fierce artists ready to say “yes” to a multitude of options once they graduate. A comprehensive understanding of the business of theatre is also part of our curriculum. This degree culminates in a Chicago Industry Showcase introducing our BFA’s to the Chicago theatre arts community in the fall of their senior year, including a website that is sent throughout the country.
