Audition Information for B.F.A. in Musical Theatre

Auditions for the BFA in Musical Theatre

For Audition purposes, you do NOT have to be accepted to the school at the time of your audition. However, if an offer is made contact the Admission Office for more information or APPLY NOW online.

Admission into our BFA Musical Theatre program does come with a front-loaded Talent Grant / Tuition Waiver for your first year, however the bulk of financial help will be offered through our University Scholarship Offices.

BFA Musical Theatre Audition Dates & Specifications for 2026-27:

  • Saturday, October 31, 2026 - On-campus at WIU
  • Monday, February 15, 2027 - On-campus at WIU
  • Saturday, April 3, 2027 - On-campus at WIU

You can also audition for us in person at CAP in St. Louis (Nov 2026), Illinois High School Theatre Festival (Jan 2027)聽or the National Unified Auditions (Chicago only, Feb 2027). We also accept Video Submissions.
